Dear Parents and Students,
Happy Tuesday! I hope that all of you had a wonderful long weekend.
We will begin with Math Lesson 70 this week. We will also continue reading the book Double Fudge. In English, we will finish up studying adjectives. In science, we will do a little weather review. I will be sending home information about an erosion project. I have also been saving 2 liter bottles since this summer. I would like to do a tornado project in the classroom as well. In history/geography, we continue learning about the continents and oceans. The students will be able to label a map showing where each is located. We will also continue practicing for the aims test. We will take time out each day for about 10 minutes to go over flashcards. We will also take about an hour each Friday to review. This is the time to drill those multiplication and division flashcards at home. Success cannot be achieved through class work only. We must work together to help your child succeed and meet the goals that are set before them.
I look forward to a wonderful week of learning. Don’t forget to sign your child up for the talent show in the front office. Check the link for the upcoming events. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at mandienschool@yahoo.com or call me at school. Also, don’t forget to check out the blog.
Thank You,
Mrs. Wallace
